Anyone who has been through cancer knows how it changes everything – for both themselves and their families. Navigating the journey requires a team not just for aiding the physical health of everyone involved, but mental health as well. This is where Ann’s Place of Danbury, CT comes in.
Founded in 1991, Ann’s Place has a mission to provide a healing refuge for cancer patients and their families. From counseling services to wellness activities and more, the center offers a wide range of services to improve the quality of life for those going through treatment – and it’s all absolutely free of charge. Since its founding, Ann’s Place has served hundreds of people in Connecticut and the lower Hudson Valley of New York. They are reliant on both volunteers and donations.
Corporate Mailing Services is proud to support this exceptional non-profit in our area. Recently, we held a fundraiser where everyone working here paid $20 to wear their custom Pink Shirt (for breast cancer awareness) on Fridays; CMS then matched and upped the donation. All told, $1500 was raised for Ann’s Place.
Director Shannon Cobb was thrilled to receive the funds. “Fundraisers like these fill an important role in our fundraising goals, and we are grateful to Corporate Mailing Services and all the companies in our area that help raise awareness.”
